Hi! My name is Amanda, and I’m an amateur forensic ornithologist sharing my passion for feathers. I created a project on iNaturalist back in 2017 that would help transform the model of online feather identification. No longer the domain of niche forums alone, feather ID is now easy and accessible thanks to the talented team of identifiers at the Found Feathers project.

A set of 7 feathers in all colors of the rainbow. From left to right: Northern Cardinal, Indian Peafowl, Northern Flicker, Amazon Parrot, Blue-and-Yellow Macaw, Blue Jay, and a purple-dyed Helmeted Guineafowl feather.

This site is your one-stop shop for stories, resources, and photography of birds and their feathers!

Use the menu above to navigate to my blog posts, feather finds, useful resources, about page, and contact form.

Thanks for visiting, and happy feather finding!
